About No Longer Human
No Longer Human is a tea shop, a community, and an off-line social space; sharing the gifts of beauty and tranquility through tea with our friends and neighbors in Chicagoland and beyond. We hope that this space gives our guests an opportunity to disconnect from the attentional strain of the world and intentionally embrace this magic of a cup of tea. Every sip of tea is an opportunity to re-center, slow down, and embrace the gifts of nature and humanity. We hope our shop can be a part of this journey for anyone who enjoys our teas here or in their home.

Little serene gem of a tea shop featuring high quality imported Japanese teas along with teaware. Very nice spot to unplug and enjoy some perfectly brewed teas. They have a rotating menu based on the freshest varieties of tea and season. There are some unusual options like Japanese black tea, refreshing sencha nitro or adding tea to ice cream. I appreciate no sugar or sweeteners are out or offered as these teas are best honored in their purest form. If you are a tea enthusiast or just want to relax for a few minutes it is definitely worth it to check them out.

A friend suggested this place, and I’m so glad I listened! My partner and I have done private tea tastings before, and decided to do the one here. We filled our minds with tea knowledge and our souls with great tea!

Beautiful Tea House for a nice sit down and sip. Everything is brewed professionally and the staff are great to talk too. Heavily recommended for anyone who want a space to enjoy with others, not a place to be on your phone or laptop.

We had the gyokoru and the buckwheat tea and both were steeped perfectly. The space is crisp and cozy and it was nice to see folks just chatting and reading and enjoying their tea and time. Owner and baristas are so friendly and you can tell they’re passionate about serving good tea. We will be back!

This place is incredible. An amazing tea bar and tea shop, I don’t think I’ve experience anything like this in the states. I had the nitro sencha and slow drip and both were great.
